Symptoms

- Light stools/dark urine
- Fatigue
- Fever
- Nausea/vomiting
- Abdominal pain
- Jaundice

Who is at Risk?
- Household or sexual contacts with infected person
- Travelers in developing countries
- Living in area where there is HAV outbreak
- Persons engaging in anal/oral sex
- Injection drug users
Prevention
- Immune globulin within 2 weeks of exposure
- Vaccination
- Washing hands
- Household bleach (10 parts water to 1 part bleach)
- Safer sexual practices
