- Contact with infected blood
- Contact with infected seminal/vaginal fluids (sexual contact)
- Contaminated needles, including tattoo and body-piercing tools
- Infected mother to newborn

- Light stools/dark urine
- Fatigue
- Fever
- Mild flu-like symptoms

- Infants born to infected mother
- Having sex with infected partner
- Injection drug users
- Emergency responders & healthcare workers
- Hemodialysis patients
- MSM
Prevention
- Immune globulin within 2 weeks of exposure
- Vaccination
- Wearing gloves to clean up contaminated surfaces
- Household bleach (10 parts water to 1 part bleach)
- Safer sexual practices
- Do not share razors, toothbrushes or needles
